Step 1- 1st Appointment Agenda
Our no-cost and obligation-free first appointment is designed to determine whether we have a basis for a long-term working relationship or whether you simply need some once off advice or service. We will discuss the following topics;
- Fees and charges (vary from client to client depending on complexity)
- Your needs, goals, objectives and milestones
- Your current financial situation and any specific issues that need addressing
- How to boost your super, reduce your tax and enhance your investment strategy
- Your family structure, estate planning, insurance and risk management
On booking your first appointment, we will send out a “1st Appointment pack” that contains an Agenda for the meeting, a Map with parking instructions, a Personal Financial Profile Questionnaire, a Risk Profile Questionnaire and all of our contact details.
Step 2- Strategy development and questions
Once we have established a professional working relationship and we have a solid grasp of your family and financial situation, your Senior Financial Adviser will develop a long-term financial strategy. The key objectives are to reduce your tax, boost your super, provide an income, better manage your money and ensure your funds are secure for the rest of your life.
Step 3- Financial Plan Preparation
When you are comfortable to proceed with a financial plan (statement of advice), we then commence the process of putting our recommendations in writing for you so you have a written record and understanding of our proposals.
The financial plan details all costs, strategic recommendations, research on current products, past investment returns, portfolio recommendations and our ongoing service commitment to you. It also contains an executive summary so you have a simple 1-2 page synopsis of our recommendations.
Step 4- Financial Plan Presentation
We present you with a leather-bound folder containing your financial plan, research and our teams contact details. You will also meet the team with whom you will be working so you can align names and faces to personalise the service.
We also step you through the recommendations on our large flat-screen monitor to allow you to talk through the recommendations and discuss the implications before you take your plan home to consider the recommendations in your own time. There is no pressure to proceed at this, or any other stage.
Step 5- Implementation of your recommendations
Once you are comfortable to proceed with the recommendations, our team undertakes all of the paperwork to ensure the implementation is quick and easy. This may include superannuation rollovers, establishment of accounts, selling down of assets, establishing pensions, Centrelink applications, insurance policies, estate planning discussions and the paperwork and external liaisons for any other recommendation within the plan.
Step 6- Post Implementation Review
Implementation will usually take from two weeks to three months or more depending on the complexity of your situation. Towards the end of the implementation process we prefer to meet with you to ensure you are ware of which recommendations have been implemented, you have access to all accounts and that you feel comfortable with the operation of your accounts.
Step 7- Ongoing review and portfolio management- Client Platinum Program
Depending on the service offering provided, you will typically meet with your adviser every six months. The review meetings are designed to reassess your financial situation, constantly assess your risk profile, discuss any changes in your life or needs, goals or objectives, let you know what returns your portfolios have attracted and to answer any queries or explain any uncertainties.
We will provide you with a written portfolio review and commentary.
In addition to your face to face reviews, you will also receive;
- monthly eNewsletter which provides monthly portfolio return reports
- economic updates
